11.6 pointer to pointer to void - dunno - 17-03-2026

Hi, does this rule apply also for pointer to pointer to void?

Code:
void * ptr;

uint32_t addr = (uint32_t)&ptr;

or does this code violate any of the other rules?

ping, I don't think the PDF is very explicit about this. And people I talk with interpret the PDF in different ways whether this is compliant or not.

Rule 11.6 does not apply, as you are not converting pointer-to-void

However, this is a violation of Rule 11.4
