Incorrect example for rule 6.3?

TC1 has following sentence:

This rule is inappropriate (plain) char

But the mc2_0603.c has following example:

char character63; /* Not Compliant */

In my opinion this code is compliant with TC1?

TC1 relaxed rule 6.3 so that it no longer applies to type char.
