Rule 8.4 was updated in 2023 to exclude the main function from the Rule, but no other change was made to the rule in either MISRA C 2023 or MISRA C 2025. Can you please elaborate if this example is still intended to violate the rule or if there is an exception for a tentative definition without the external keyword as far as MISRA C 2023 and MISRA C 2025 are concerned?
